Thoughts on the Kyrie Irving to the Celtics trade?

Postby pajooni » August 23rd, 2017, 3:57 am

What do you make of this blockbuster trade between the Cavs and the Celtics? Celtics gave up IT4, Crowder, Zizic, and Net's first round pick for just Kyrie. Only 4 of its players from last year remain on the 2017-2018 roster. Do you see this as a good or a bad thing for the Celtics? How about for the Cavs? IT4 kinda plays like Kyrie. Both terrific finishers, handlers, not really good at ball distribution or defense. Both are rated 89/90 I think on 2k18. Personally, this feels like a win for Cleveland. What say you?

Holy fuck. Celtics front office are full blown dumbasses giving up ALL that for basically another IT. They are going to regret giving up that pick. God damn what a stupid ass trade.

I can understand a bit since Isaiah is a 28 already and has just got a hip injury, and his game depends mostly on his quickness. This league is all about how many superstars you have, not role players. Kyrie, Hayward, Horford, and (Tatum), are all borderine superstars.

True True. But IT4 is a borderline superstar himself. He averaged 28ppg last year.

Best thing ever. This is what the NBA needs. An exciting off season with tons of megadeals to save us from the stupid KD trade that broke the NBA.

All I can gather from this is that LeBron needs more help. Now there are 2 silverback gorillas at the wing and they have two superstar (1 MVP) point guard. If he loses to the Warriors again this year in the Finals, he drops below the all time top 50. No excuses.

He won't even make the Finals next year. Daddy Kyrie and Hair Gordon gonna do damage to the Weakstern Conference.

Something tells me that thr Cavs won't do well next year. It may be chemistry or something they seem to lack. Anyways, top 3 teams in the East are still the same, could be any order though. West will be fun to see unfold. If one of the Big 4 on the Warriors get injured come postseason, they're in deep trouble, especially against the Spurs, Rockets, and Wolves.

Lol no. He's finished. A new dynasty out East has emerged. Kyrie-Hayward-Horford. Hallelujah.

Can't wait for the LeBron vs Kyrie matchup in the ECF. Winner gets a free ticket to get swept by the Warriors, again.
